Scene Breakdown

 
This episode took place in Downtown Wilmington next to the Battleship North Carolina and it was actually my first 12 hour set (well 11.5 hrs if you want to be exact.) I played one of the estimated 500 fans to Haley James Scott’s band “Flying Machine.” It lasted from about 2pm-2am and it was quite cold and tiring. They filmed about 4 or 5 different songs between two different “venues” (still in the same location) and then some short dialogue between Quinn and Clay. I was able to take a few pictures on my phone, but sadly its not exactly a digital camera so they’re not the greatest. Although a long day like this really tales its’ tole, I enjoyed being immersed in such a large set (my biggest yet) and it was very cool to watch the crew tackle the scene with 4 cameras simultaneously (two on dollies, one on a crane, and one on Steadicam.) I can’t wait to see the final edited product, and I hope that i’m able to spot myself in the crowd!
 
PS. I felt like adding that Rob and Beth were really cool in person. He was making tons of jokes in between takes, and she was very friendly and respectful towards the whole crowd of extras. I’ve got nothing bad to say about Shantel, she just seemed pretty shy towards us during the short scene that she filmed with Rob.
